Karma project?

Given all of us that are here, do you think there's a way to organize something so that some of us less advanced Reddit users can earn up a wee bit of Karma? Just wondering.

Instant down-modding

Hi all I wonder if anyone could give me a little advice. The bottom line is, I like Reddit, but Reddit doesn't like me for some reason. I've tried submitting a wide variety of articles, but each time I do, they seem to get down-modded almost straight away. This happens frequently. I can submit between 6 and 8 articles in a day, but it's very rare I get one with more than 4 or 5 votes. It's not all doom and gloom though. I have had a few hit the front page before, but not very many, so does anyone have any useful tips they can pass on? It's pretty frustrating getting down-modded all the time, especially when the content you're submitting comes from good sources. Thanks in advance.

Mixx Gets Serious About Community Building

Digg competitor Mixx just launched an extension to its groups feature that founder Chris McGill describes as “Ning for social media”. More at TechCrunch. This is something I've always wanted to see happen. I've been critical of Mixx in the past - but have to give it Kudos right now.
